Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Regulatory Compliance Manager for our client in Lancaster, PA!  Responsible for ensuring the highest food safety and quality standards of products and regulatory compliance (FDA, FSMA) per industry and governmental guidelines.              This is a permanent, direct placement opportunity, salary $90,000!

Responsibilities for the Regulatory Compliance Manager include:

  • Provide technical support and training to different functions, suppliers and customers. 
  • Manage food safety and regulatory program, including labeling,  to develop, coordinate, implement and monitor GFSI (SQF) Code Certification program, customer, regulatory and third party certifications.
  • Develop food safety and quality policies, SOPs, etc
  • Oversees and maintains food safety and quality systems to assure facility meets all SQF certification and FSMA requirements, including but limited to commitment, document control and records, specifications, food safety and quality, verification, product identification, traceability and recall, food safety fundamentals, complaint management, establish and implement training needs of personnel, building design and construction, HACCP and pre-requisite programs.
  • Manage, and ensure compliance to third party audits, Internal Audit Schedule, and conduct supplier Audits. 
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring programs, policies and procedures, SOPs, audits, documentation, improvement plans, training

Job Requirements

Qualifications for the Regulatory Compliance Manager include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required: Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in food processing
  • Two years in a manufacturing environment under USDA and/or FDA
  • Two years facilitating food safety/quality related training events
  • Proficient in Microsoft and ERP systems
  • Certifications    SQF Practitioner      HACCP Training    PCQI    Food defense
  • Knowledge of FDA and or USDA inspected manufacturing facilities
