Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Quality Assurance and Sanitation teams
  • Oversee SQF, HACCP, GMP, and food safety programs to ensure compliance
  • Manage customer, regulatory, and certification audits, including corrective actions
  • Investigate quality concerns, customer complaints, and food safety issues
  • Partner with Production, Operations, and Leadership to drive quality improvements
  • Maintain quality documentation, reporting, environmental monitoring, and compliance records

Job Requirements

Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Manager 

  • 5+ years of quality leadership experience in food or beverage manufacturing
  • PCQI, HACCP, and Better Process Control certifications required
  • Strong knowledge of SQF, GMPs, allergens, environmental monitoring, and food safety regulations
  • Experience leading successful customer, regulatory, and certification audits
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and influence positive change
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
  • Experience with ERP systems and quality management documentation
  • Strong root cause analysis, CAPA, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced organizational and communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
