Job Description

We have an opening for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for our food manufacturing client in Lancaster!  Fantastic opportunity to join the team of a fast-growing company!

Salary to $140k

 

Highlights of the QA Manager position include:

  • Lead food safety & SQF compliance for a growing food manufacturer

  • Manage QA + Sanitation teams with real impact on operations

  • High-visibility role partnering with leadership & customers

  • Drive food safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Hands-on involvement with audits, HACCP, and regulatory compliance

 

Responsibilities for the QA Manager include:

  • Lead and coach QA and Sanitation teams; oversee daily priorities and performance

  • Own SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety programs; drive continuous improvement

  • Manage audits (SQF, customer, regulatory) and corrective/preventive actions

  • Serve as QA point of contact for customers, complaints, and technical issues

  • Partner cross-functionally to embed food safety and quality into daily operations

  • Maintain QA documentation, ERP records, and food safety metrics reporting

Job Requirements

Qualifications for the QA Manager include:

  • 5+ years of QA/Food Safety leadership in food or beverage manufacturing

  • PCQI, HACCP, and Better Process Control certifications required

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and influencing change

  • Proven audit management experience (SQF, regulatory, customer audits)

  • Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable in fast-paced production environments

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field

  • Working knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, allergens, and environmental monitoring

  • Experience with ERP systems and QA documentation control

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Strong root cause analysis and CAPA experience
