The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Tracking and updating materials in the MRP systems
  • Informing vendors, QC and the warehouse of statuses
  • Purchasing materials
  • Maintaining vendor relations and obtaining quotes
  • Researching, evaluating and making decisions regarding procurement matters
  • Obtaining appropriate commodities
  • Reviewing orders
  • Preparing purchase orders

 

 

Job Requirements

The Junior Buyer responsibilities include:

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Buyer or in a purchasing / procurement capacity
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry
  • Degree preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge
