Job Description

We have an opening for an experienced Project Manager for our client!  Plan, coordinate and manage all phases of construction projects.  This is a permanent placement opportunity! The position offers a dedicated workspace within the office, use of a company vehicle, a mobile phone, a computer, and any necessary technology or tools required to perform the role effectively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage all phases of construction projects, including budgets, and resource plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure alignment on goals
  • Supervise on-site work to verify compliance with project plans, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  • Oversee purchasing, including obtaining bids, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with suppliers.
  • Keep track of budgets and manage change requests while maintaining financial oversight.
  • Regularly visit project sites to assess progress, address potential risks, and resolve any challenges.
  • Organize and maintain all project documentation, such as permits, contracts, and reports, to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Conduct project wrap-ups to evaluate successes, gather lessons learned, and improve future workflows.

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong track record of successful projects.
  • Deep knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and local building codes.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects, timelines, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation effectively.
  • Expertise in managing risks, analyzing costs, and identifying ways to improve efficiency.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Skilled in negotiating contracts and building long-term vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of best practices for maintaining compliance and quality assurance standards.
