Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT/Help Desk Specialist to provide technical support and oversee the seamless integration of our systems into an ERP platform. The ideal candidate will excel at troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing end-user support, and maintaining system security. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, exceptional customer service, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.  MUST be able to start immediately!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

    • Respond to and resolve user inquiries related to hardware, software, emails, and peripherals.
    • Set up and maintain workstations, laptops, time clocks, and other technical equipment.
    • Monitor and update hardware and software to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
  • ERP System Integration:

    • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to facilitate ERP system integration.
    • Support data migration, testing, and troubleshooting during the transition to the ERP platform.
    • Provide end-user training and create documentation for ERP-related processes.
  • Security & Compliance:

    • Monitor and manage IT security programs to ensure data integrity and system protection.
    • Update security protocols and conduct regular audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Project Support:

    • Assist in the implementation of IT-related projects, including upgrades, rollouts, and migrations.
    • Participate in evaluating new tools and technologies to enhance IT operations.
  • Communication & Collaboration:

    • Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and follow up to ensure user satisfaction.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT support, help desk operations, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; prior experience with integration projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining Windows and Mac systems.
  • Strong understanding of network systems, IT security practices, and remote support tools.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and escalate issues appropriately.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with database management, data migration, or ERP-specific modules.
  • Knowledge of popular ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or similar are a plus.
