Responsibilities for the Human Resources Generalist include:

  • Serve as the primary HR business partner for plant leadership and employees, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, benefits, and company programs.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly positions, including job postings, interviews, hiring, onboarding, and pre-employment processes.
  • Maintain HRIS records and employee documentation while ensuring data accuracy and preparing HR reports.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation, benefits enrollment, performance evaluations, promotions, and employee status changes.
  • Support employee relations, policy administration, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist with safety initiatives, workers' compensation administration, OSHA recordkeeping, and Safety Committee activities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications for the Human Resources Generalist include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience using an HRIS and maintaining employee records.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, employment law, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
