We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial activities at our client's Lancaster manufacturing facility. Responsibilities for the Controller include:

Financial Leadership & Reporting

• Direct all plant accounting activities including general ledger and month-end close

• Ensure timely, accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP

• Oversee balance sheet integrity and reconciliation processes

• Maintain and strengthen site-level internal controls

• Serve as the primary financial resource for plant leadership

Cost Accounting & Operational Analysis

• Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis

• Monitor labor, material usage, scrap, and production efficiencies

• Partner with operations to improve BOM accuracy and cost transparency

• Provide actionable analysis to support margin improvement initiatives

• Evaluate financial impact of production performance metrics

Planning, Forecasting & Capital Oversight

• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes

• Analyze performance against budget and provide KPI-driven insights

• Support capital expenditure planning and financial justifications

• Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and asset tracking

• Assist with audit support and ensure compliance with company policies

Qualifications for the Controller include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

• CPA preferred (or actively pursuing certification)

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory controls

• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) and advanced Excel skills

• Proven ability to work independently in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
