Key Responsibilities for the Controller include:

• Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, and compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes and reporting

• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes

• Manage inventory reconciliation and evaluate excess/obsolete stock

• Support external audits and tax filings, and liaise with auditors and tax advisors

• Monitor debt levels, ensure compliance with covenants, and manage cash flow forecasting

• Provide financial insights to leadership to inform strategic decisions

• Drive process improvements and system upgrades for enhanced efficiency

• Mentor and develop accounting staff to support department growth and effectiveness

Qualifications for the Controller include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial analysis tools

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Prior experience in manufacturing strongly desired!
