Controller Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Manage outsourced accounting functions effectively and efficiently.
• Oversee the accounting department's structure, goals, and overall performance.
• Ensure timely payment and collection of accounts to maintain financial stability.
• Conduct inventory control and reconciliation processes.
• Process payroll and complete accurate bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely debt payments and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Implement and enforce controls over financial transactions and issues related to financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and collaborate with external auditors.
• Recommend performance benchmarks and calculate key financial metrics.
• Manage the annual budgeting process and report variances.
• Provide financial analysis for investments, pricing strategies, and contracts.
• Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications for the Controller include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Accounting experience within the food or food-related industry is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
