Job Description

The Corporate Controller provides strategic financial leadership, managing the accounting operations and overseeing a team to ensure the organization meets financial goals. The position reports to the CFO and is based in-office.

Key Responsibilities for the Corporate Controller include:

  • Lead Finance Department functions: Corporate Accounting, Budgeting, AR, AP, Payroll, Treasury, Procurement, and Risk Management.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to set financial goals and coach the team for continuous learning and performance.
  • Participate in the Operational Leadership and Finance Teams, and act as a backup to the CFO.
  • Oversee the Annual Budget process and facilitate quarterly financial and budget reviews.
  • Manage month-end close, analyze financial performance, and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Maintain financial systems and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.
  • Prepare accurate, timely reports for the CFO, Executive Leadership, and Board of Directors.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications for the Corporate Controller:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in financial management, with a background in leadership roles such as a Finance Manager or Controller.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading teams, optimizing workflows, and meeting financial deadlines.
  • Skilled in analyzing financial data and creating reports, forecasts, and financial statements for key stakeholders.
  • Experience managing finances for diverse operations, ideally in industries such as real estate, property management, hospitality, or retail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial modeling techniques.
  • Strong background in working with general ledger systems and budgeting tools.
