Job Description

Work for one of the premiere food manufacturing companies in Lancaster County. The food Quality Assurance Technician supports food safety and quality programs by inspecting, sampling, and testing food products throughout production. This role works closely with production teams to ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, and FSMA standards while maintaining accurate documentation and quality records. Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Up to $22/hr.


Highlights of the Quality Assurance Technician Job

Responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Technician include:

  • Perform sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished food products 

    Document quality results, deviations, and corrective actions

  • Monitor production areas for compliance with GMP and HACCP requirements

  • Document quality results, deviations, and corrective actions

  • Maintain vendor and quality documentation to support SQF and FSMA compliance

  • Assist with quality holds, product tracking, and ERP/Smartsheet documentation

  • Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to resolve quality issues

Job Requirements

Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Technician include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Basic knowledge of food safety or quality control preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures

 

  • Associate degree or coursework in Food Science, Microbiology, or Quality Assurance preferred

  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, SQF, ISO 22000 preferred

  • Experience in food manufacturing, QA, or laboratory environments preferred

  • Comfortable using ERP systems or quality management software
