Job Description

We are seeking a Property Manager to join our client's team in Wilkes Barre. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the property, ensuring smooth management of finances, occupancy, and maintenance.

  • Monitor financial performance, track expenses and revenue, and implement strategies to improve results.

  • Supervise on-site staff and hold vendors accountable for timely, quality work.

  • Coordinate apartment turnovers, ensuring vacant units are ready for occupancy on schedule.

  • Maintain a trauma-informed, resident-focused approach when assisting tenants.

  • Process and review applications to ensure program and income eligibility.

  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, RD, and Section 811 requirements and maintain accurate files.

  • Oversee rent collection, resolve delinquencies, and meet quarterly revenue goals.

  • Collaborate with Resident Services to address resident needs and foster community engagement.

  • Respond to emergencies and complete assignments promptly.

  • Ensure resident work orders are resolved quickly and effectively.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver’s license required.

  • Associate degree preferred, or a minimum of one year of property management experience.

  • Experience in affordable housing management strongly preferred.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain a professional, empathetic demeanor.
