Job Description

 

We have an opening for a Product Development Technologist for our growing food manufacturer in Lancaster, PA!  Do you have a degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related?

Responsibilities for the Product Development associate includes:

  • Manage the commercialization of new manufacturing lines launch and equipment installations, where applicable
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of testing, formulations and outcomes of products and ingredients.
  • Function as liaison for internal customers (Customer Service, Operations, R&D, FSQA, Sales Maintenance/Engineering) for day-to-day product activities and questions.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks to timelines/success of commercialization and formulation rationalization efforts.
  • Participates in regulatory, customer and third-party audits, assuring documentation compliance.

 

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications for Product Development associate includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or related field
  • Preferred experience with new product commercialization
  • Relevant experience (or internship) working in a food manufacturing plant or food CPG company (Product Development, FSQA, Operations, R&D)
  • Preferred experience with new manufacturing line launches or equipment installations a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft platforms
  • An initiative-taker and initiative-taking individual with a cheerful outlook and ability to operate and influence cross-functionally.
  • Advanced math skills required.
